SCIENCE FAIR:

Just a little reminder that this year's 6th graders are participating in the school science fair.  We have been working very hard at school practicing the steps of the scientific method and putting together the pieces of a lab.  The due dates are listed below, so please make sure each step is done by the due date listed.

January 30th: Topic & Purpose Due

February 10th: Research, Hypothesis, Materials, & Procedure Due

February 17th: Data/Results, Conclusion, References, & Credits Due

February 22nd: Rough Draft Due!

February 27th: Final Paper and Display Board Due!

February  27th - 28th: Science Fair Presentations in Science Class

February 29th: Science Fair!

 

 

CLASSROOM REPORT:

6th Grade Math: We are in the middle of Chapter 6: Mulitplying & Dividing Fractions.  There will be a quiz on February 1st.  Assuming everything stays on schedule, the test will be  February 10th.

 

6th Grade Science: Science Fair... Work on those projects and watch those due dates!

 

7th Grade Math: The students are taking a test on Chapter 5 on February 1st.  Afterwards we will begin Chapter 6: Ratios, Proportions, and Percents.

 

7th Grade Science: In Science, the 7th graders are still working on Genetics.  This week we will be doing an activity with Twizzlers and DNA.  Their test will be sometime next week.  ~ Don't forget to blog!~

 

8th Grade Math: The 8th graders are just zooming along, having just completed a test on Chapter 4.  They are now ready to begin Chapter 5: Graphs and Functions. 

 

8th Grade Science: In science, the students are working on a WebQuest about the Interior of Earth.  Reminder: their projects are due next Thursday, February 9th.  At this time, they will present it to the rest of the class.  There will also be a short quiz on the material.  ~Don't forget to Blog!~
