Welcome to the new 2017-2018 school year!

The students are deep in the their learning process already.

In reading we are reading the novel unit Mania Magee and learning all about figurative language. They are using their iPads to illustrate personification and later they will illustrate idioms. Figurative language makes the literature come to life. The students are getting really good at spotting the different types of figurative language: similes, metaphors, hyperboles, idioms, and personification.

The students are making a small picture book of something they did this summer. They will be sharing their books with the kindergarten class next Monday, September 25th.

In science we are learning how scientists classify organisms and the the six kingdoms of living organisms. Their first test is tomorrow.

Religion we are studying Jesus’ example to us and how we can follow Him and learning more about the Sacraments.

The students are doing great in Math, reviewing past concepts and learning math terminology.

Our first Mass is this Thursday. Please join us as we celebrate the Lord.

On Friday, September 29 at 2:15 we will be holding our Marathon Kick-Off. Please join us in the school gym. Our theme is: “Jesus is our Rock and that’s how we Roll!” After the Kick-Off, students will begin collecting pledges for the school.
