Our 2020 Marathon Kicks off on Friday, Sept 25. This is one of our BIGGEST fundraising events! Our students will be reaching out to their neighbors, local businesses, alumni and community for pledges.
Each student will receive a sheet to keep track of the pledges they have received. Each student is encouraged to bring in pledge money daily. Those individuals who bring in $10 or more a day, will get their name in the daily drawing for a Dairy Queen gift card! 🍦 For every $10 that a student brings in, they will get their name in the drawing. They can earn up to 10 entries per day. Each class will also have the opportunity to win each day as well. The class bringing in the top amount each day will be recognized and will then have a little fun, with their teacher taking the hit! Staff will have the opportunity to be dowsed with silly string, a bucket of water or a pie in the face!
On October 14, students will be doing service work in the community instead of walking for the Marathon. This is something that we implemented in 2018 and we have received positive feedback from our community and families about integrating service and “Attitude of Gratitude” into our Marathon day.
Money raised (as of Oct 14, 2020) – $51,509.81
Businesses:
Due to COVID, we are unable to go door to door to our local businesses to request pledges for our annual Marathon. So we created this video in lieu of our usual door to door visits. We would greatly appreciate it if you donate to our school!
