Welcome to the 2024-2025 school year! My name is Mrs. Leslie Henslin. The students refer to me as Ms. Leslie This is my ninth year at St. Mary’s School and first year teaching preschool. I am looking forward to this wonderful opportunity to learn and grow with the youngest students in our school. 

A little about me….. I reside in Bird Island with my husband and three children. My oldest, Bryce, is in 10th grade at BOLD High School. Brett is finishing his last year here at St. Mary’s as an 8th grader. Both keep me busy with year round sports. My daughter, Lauren, attends 4th grade at New London-Spicer, Prairiewoods Elementary, in New London. She is a special little lady with many special needs and requires a full IEP and support services which she is able to receive through NLS. Many years ago…… I graduated with my Master’s Degree in Community Counseling from Minnesota State University (MSU). I worked nine years as a Children’s Mental Health Case Manager for McLeod County Human Services. My years at St. Mary’s have included the roles of para, student support, and substitute teaching.
