St. Mary’s School is seeking a full time middle school teacher, with a strong emphasis in the areas of Math and Science for the 2024-25 school year who is looking to develop leaders of tomorrow. The candidate will provide a nurturing and stimulating environment to facilitate children’s growth, exploration and participation, observe the child and interpret the child’s needs and coordinate regular communication with parents regarding their children’s progress. The candidate will effectively use observations and data regularly to assess student achievement and plan instruction accordingly. Ideal candidates will be highly motivated, organized, optimistic, problem solvers, adaptable, and communicate positively and effectively and demonstrate faith leadership and commitment to vision, mission and values of the St. Mary’s Schools. Candidates will be responsible for teaching grades 6 through 8 in the Middle School.
- Applicants must have and/or are in the process of receiving a Bachelor’s degree in Education with a specialization in Math and /or Science or equivalent.
- K-6 or 1-6 Elementary Education Minnesota license with a strong emphasis on Math and /or Science
- And/or a 5-12 Minnesota license in the area of Math and/or Science

Full-time Head Cook:
St. Mary’s School is seeking a full time head cook for the 2024-25 school year.
Essential Functions:
- Must obtain a food service certification
- Must pass a pre-employment physical for this position
- Cooks and prepares a variety of food through standardized recipes
- Ensuring all meals meet quality standards, are correctly prepared and within acceptable time limits
- Monitors and directs food service staff and subs in the preparation, set up, and serving of all meals
- Prepares and cooks al menu items needed for regular and a la carte lines
- Checks on all equipment, monitors temperatures of refrigeration and freezer units
- Effectively utilizes food leftovers per standards
- Managing ordering, receiving, storing and inventory control of all perishable products following specific procedures and HACCP standards
- Reinforcing USDA regulations
- Conducting cost control analysis while monitoring product and menu costs
- Controlling waste and effectively managing cost and budget performance
- Establishing monthly food and labor cost goals
- Promotes nutrition education in school and community
- Using time management skills to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Performs other duties as requested by leadership
Requirements:
- 2 years previous experience in a school food service setting preferred
- Ability to identify and resolve problems in a timely manner
- Able to follow supervisors direction and take responsibility for own actions
- Able to follow spoken and written directions
- Ability to prioritize, plan and use time efficiently
- Ability to lift 30 pounds and stand for long periods of time
- Maintain a high level of confidentiality when dealing with student, staff, and/or parent information
- must pass a pre-employment physical for this position.
