April has arrived already! We are quickly counting down the weeks of school left this year, which is hard to imagine already!
Thank you to all that attended the A.L.I.C.E. presentation at the end of March. We will continue to work on being prepared and talking about this adjusted intruder approach. It was well received by the students.
April will bring a few different topics for class counseling classes. 8th grade will be doing Q & A with some St. Mary’s Alum students to better prepare for their transition to BOLD High School next year.
- 4-7th grade will be doing some self-reflection on their own actions and ways to be better friends and classmates, accepting responsibility, and self-discipline.
- Kindergarten- 3rd grade will be talking about Saying Sorry and practicing how to do so. Believe it or not, this is a hard skill for many adults to do! Supporting our kids in how to say sorry will encourage taking responsibility for own our actions, strengthen their relationship skills, and remind us all that we make mistakes and that’s OKAY!
Any questions or concerns, please feel free to call or email.
